A collaborative project by Alessandro Parente, Andrea Sabbadini, and Alan Fernandez as part of the Gonzalo Guerrero el Grillo collective, with the participation of many other people from Mexico.

Handmade wooden box with antlers and with the word “water”- HAAX, BAA, BAA, HA – in four indigenous languages of Mexico etched into the sides.

This is an epic, enigmatic, lyrical, and provocative sculpture/artists’ book/box set/assemblage evoking the atmosphere and struggle of indigenous Mexico.

This is one of many unique creations from of Gonzalo Grillo Bus project, a cultural service, research, and historical project of artists Alessandro Parente and Simona Fantauzzi. This box includes water samples with the analysis from a chemical laboratory, graphic creations starting from the pattern of the microscope images, a book of photographs documenting the people and places and issues associated with the water samples, and a video documentary housed on a USB drive.
